Day 8 off norco, 1st day back to work, UGH

Hi guys,
Well I've made it to day 8 off of norco, and returned to work only to unleash some old forgotten demons. Not sure if I have to talk so much at work or what, but I found myself jonesin for a boost. No worries because I cut off all access to them, but can someone explain the yawns. I didn't really have them at all while on vacation last week. Still sneezing on day 8, feeling the aches and pains of sitting in a damn cube all day, and just plain tired.
I need to call on my old friends, Dixie, WAZ, Minn, and any other of you amazing veterans to set the stage for me.
Thanks exhausted

Day seven for me and a real back breaking job in a confined space on top of that. Got home in severe pain, took a hot shower and sitting with heating pad on my back. I don't think the no sleep thing is helping. Congrats on day eight. You will always be a day ahead of me. Keep it that way. I'll try to catch up to you.

Lol I do!!! Nothing past noon for me. Yum mountain dew. I did that too the other day. I'm happy with my sleep. I'm still getting my 8-9 hours sleep . It's been great. Like I said last week I forced myself to move. So far I'm running after the babies today and it's not killing me. So I will push fight and swing to get my energy!!! And I'll pull u right along with me!!!

Hi Dix, I just finished reading your post. Yes we are at similar places. I am a morning coffee drinker, and found myself with a mountain dew in my hand this afternoon, trying to stay alert. I've read about the tiredness, but I figured since week 1 went so well for me, I would be ok. Lets keep pushing each other, and see where we are in a couple weeks. Watch the coffee too late in the afternoon chickie, you will be wide awake staring at the ceiling if ur not careful.

Thanks Sonrissa, you nailed it, my mind wandered all over the place today. Back from vacation, a week behind, stress level immediately back up. I unfortunately have a great paying job that I HATE, but I will try and hunker down and be as productive as I can.
Hope you are doing well, and keep on fighting yourself.

Hey there!!!! Lol well congrats on clean time. As for sneezing and achy I'm still feeling it. Still lacking energy as well. But I'm not sure if ur a coffee drinker??? That use to be my boost and it is now!!!  When I'm feeling like pure crap I run to the coffee... Oh the joys of being sober !!! Really. Everyone says it gets better. I know it is slowly for me. A week ago it took every ounce to make me move. Yeah I think of the boost I use to get too but I quickly think of WD and say no f ing way. I'll stick with coffee and my natural stuff. I'm so so proud of u. It's going to take time and we lack patience right now... But it will get better I promise!!!!  Congrats on ur clean time!!! Good job!!!! Woo hoo

Hey Bones! I think it is always difficult when you try to get back to your "normal" life without the pills! I think the best advice I could offer is to just stay as busy as you can! Focus on your work! Get into it as much as you can! Try not to let your mind wander here and there! The time will go by faster and pretty soon the day will be done! If you work hard, then hopefully you will get tired and worn out and it will help with sleep! Keep strong, you are doing fantastic!
