Day 9 - Against All Odds.

Well, back to the doctor I go! - Due to my injury, and overwhelmingy pain yesterday, they took me out of work because my body has became extremly overwhelmed to almost the point of shock...9 Days, and it is not the w/d's at all...it's my body can't handle this much pain all at once, an so now I go see the doc at 2pm to find out what to do about dealing with pain management.

I have no other option. I have finally got offered a way better job, with all medical benifits yesterday, and they are waiting for me to put my 2 weeks in at my present job. Funny things is, I thought I would never get this job, with the drug screen, background checks etc....but everything cleared and I got the call yesterday "Good to Go!"

Aint that Daisy? - 2 weeks to find out how to get my body to function, and yet not fall back into the 9-12 hydros a day...which was more than I ever needed for pain.

Guess, well just have to see...right now I cant even move or think the pain is so bad. So if I have to back up, and go back to my original 3-4 a day, until I get insurance...will I will let God decide the outcome, and that is what I will take.

I'm in the same boat as you!! I have chronic pain issues yet I abused the Oxy's and now am 8 days clean!! I'm proud of that but the pain is unbearable and I will have to find something that my rheumy can give me on my next appointment in 2 weeks. Just wanted you to know that you're not alone and I will pray for you.

I really don't think he is going to "cave" as you put it.  i believe he is trying to find an alternative way to help with severely debilitating pain.  unless you have been there, with thw pain that is, it is really hard to understand the desperation that a person feels.  pain can truly drive the strongest over the edge.  my prayers are with him, no matter what the decision is.

Are you trying to say that you are going to cave in now? i just read a post about you and someone is worried about u... 11 days is not enough to have made a clear headed decision that I have to use in order to work...u were so happy and enthusiastic about quitting....if you are on workman's comp then your injury could be flaring up...but u state you dont have a certain area that is hurting?   be honest with yourself before you make the decision to use again...I will probably get bashed for saying that but....sounds like u r trying to cave...give it more than 11 days....but I guess u accomplished a clean urine test for the new job...that is good...some prayers may be in order...hope we hear from you again

sorry to hear about the pain you are having hope the dr gives you some good advice. Also think about what he offers he may offer somthing other than hydro's remember what you have learned on this forum about the other meds out there and if it is something you don't want to take make sure you speak up... When seeing a dr it is good to write out the question you want to ask the night before so you have them and as soon as he says anything for me start rambling off what you have to ask. I have had to do this with my spinal surgions cause they run in and out as fast as they could

So sorry to hear about all the pain you have been in I will keep you in my Prayers do what you need to to keep the pain at bay the doc might have different meds he can give you my husband had two rotor surgerys this last ear they gave him injections in the site of the pain that caused the area to numb and cortisone injections maybe someting like that would help idk but hopefully if you do take any thing you can take up responsily I was taking hydro for my carrpel tunnel but i didnt need 20 or 30 pills a day! trust in God he will get you through this

The good thing about Duragesic was it was really hard to abuse.. I found pain relief good but past 50mcg/h was just making me a stupor,, If you tried a low dose of Duragesic and DO NOT abuse it. You can come off it even after long term use. I guess what I am saying it would keep you from throwing pills all day. I have a very bad hip and I had rather live with the pain. I just got sick of that patch...Just trying to give you an option should you need to discuss with your doctor...

The type of pain, where I can not explain...I can't drive, think etc...my w/d's are pretty much over, but it feels like my body went into mild shock...the workman comp doc, took me out of work, because I was so bad, and tried to give me a 24 hour shot of "something" but I refused, until I see the only doctor I trust, who has known me, for 17 years....and had been there for me, when I was in my worst state of alcololism..until now.

Hard to explain, It's not that I need the hydro's to function....it's just I have way to much pain, and I just c/t 9-12 bam at once and my body can not handle it.

I have been thru the hell of w/d's already and surpassed the worst, what is going on now...is pain, and IBU and Tylenol, are not doing anything....it's getting worse, and I can not even function I am in so much pain...that I have never felt in my life...??

Honey...!!!! New Job??? Wonderful. Oh Todd how you have been missed. So so so so so glad to see you are back with us again. So sorry about the pain my friend. YOu always had some major pain. For me, my pills poppage was strictly recreational....but we all know that. I hope the pain gets tolerable for you bud....
