Detox-oxycodone

Hello, I am currently in my second day of cold turkey detox from the oxycodone 5/325. i was taking about 6 pills a day for about 2 months have recently run out. My question is if anyone has experienced the excessive diarhea? All the other symptoms are bearable, sweats arent too bad and can sllep with aids, yet I am on the toilet every 15-30min for the last two days. Is there anyone that knows how long this may last? The imodium doesnt seem to help or the pepto. Was thinking of starting a weaning process to lesson the excessive diarhea, dont know if its too late for that now. Any advice or comments appreciated . I just want to thank all of you for your comments and support. It's easy to feel alone through this when you are hiding it from family and friends. I think my addiction may not have been as intense as others so I feel for everyone here and what your going through.It's day 3 now, starting to feel better, and comforting to know I'm not alone thanks again everyone.

Imodium worked well for me...i had to work and i had it so bad i couldnt make it to the bathroom...1 would stop me up for the rest of the day tho....dont take the narcs to stop the runs...they will end soon and u will be feeling much better..hang in there..u r so close

Be careful with taking too much Immodium, it is also addictive, but if used for a few days it will be fine. Only take as much as needed to slow things down. Diarrhea is one of the ways the body is detoxing this out of you

I had to work so I needed the immodium. I got the advanced kind and only had to use about 3 of them. Since you haven't been on them an extended period of time I think things will go well for you.

Its funny the Hot Tub and the D were the only times I had relief those first couple days, Hang in there!  I used immodium 1st time thru WDS, this time no, agree with above let your body due what its got to do..  Day 15 ( cool )  Shot Rock

I agree, I didn't take the immodium either while detoxing.  I felt the poisons should be allowed to leave as they so choose.  Actually, I did take it one day, ....bad, bad idea. I was really uncomfotable keeping that churning volcano in.

Please keep in mind that although diarrhea is bothersome...your body is detoxing and readjusting...anything that comes from your body basically signifies releasing of toxins.  
Steven and I had diarrhea for a long time but we opted to allow it to run its course.  Your body will rid itself of what it doesn't need.
There are pills called Nux Vomica...all natural and they are amazing for your belly.

the D is part of withdrawal for everyone.  your bowels have been artificially slowed while on the oxy (as has your whole nervous system), and they are waking up.  Try upping the dose of the Immodium, 3-4 2mg tabs four times daily.  I am detoxing from oxy, too, and have had my colon removed due to ulcerative colitis, and this is the dose my doc recommended.

Unfortunately like said above thats part of WD take Immodium only when needed! But it helped me and I quit after a day or so. I'm happy for you that you are able to handle all the other syptoms so well, that was the least of WD for me especially after taking Immodium, Best of Luck to ya!

Welcome to the forum and yes the diarhea is all part of the withdrawels. I must say your very lucky that you've decided to quit the stuff at this point, before you sink deeper into the pain pill hell. You should start to feel better in a few days, but after that you will get craveings. Hopefully they won't be to bad since you've only been useing for 2 months. Good luck and hang in there.

These are normal. Your body is ridding itself of the toxins. The good news you are 1/2 way there normal after day 3 things start to improve hang tough for today and tomorrow will be a better day. Keep fighting and keep posting when you need support. Drink lots of fluids and  take a hot bath if you feel bad.
