Did I damage my nerves or brain after a 2 day cocaine and NSAID binge

I went on a two day cocaine and NSAID binge and the left side of my body became really tingly and full of pins and needles. That lasted for one hour and then I was fine. Two weeks after that the tingly feeling came back in my toes on the left side. It kind of went to my legs a little as well. Will this go away? My MRI was fine but I dont know.

Little late to the conversation.  You said you had an MRI, can I assume you went to the doc after your binge?  My only worry with your symptoms, depending on how much coke you did is the risk of a stroke.  You could have a mini-stroke and barely know it.  Cocaine is ALL bad.

If your symptoms have persisted, and you haven't been checked out since the binge, I would highly recommend doing so.

Good luck!

The cocaine had crushed aspirin in it (nsaids).

Thanks @self, I appreciate the warm welcome. After that scare I had I just can't do it anymore because I'm scared. Starting college next week and I just have to stay on the happy righteous path. Trust me, I will never mess around with drugs again. I enjoy my health and brain damage with messed up nerves is stupid. Theres just no reason for this anymore. Wow, this situation really scared me tho.

Great attitude girl/guy (haha). You are so very wise to get on this board, read the struggles and decide that you won't make our story, your story. I commend you. Sounds like you dodged the severe consequences of addiction so far. That is a gift in itself. Glad you reached out.

Lol! Since I'm new I forgot to change my avatar to a male. I'm sorry about that, but yes I really do need to do better in life and that binge was my last binge for good. This one scared the crap out of me and I can't live nor die like that. I really appreciate every bodys support. Thank you.

The only thing I would like to add is this... When you do go to the doctor, it is likely that he will prescribe narcotics. If he does, PLEASE take them ONLY as prescribed, and only when ABSOLUTELY neccessary! Trust me...you don't want to end up in this boat with us! I think we can all agree on that! Good luck!

Hey Tj, You have receive excellent advice. Sounds to me that this affliction is non cocaine related. Having said that, you are a smart girl and don't need to lace your life with worries about no end drug use. See a Dr. and get to the bottom of your nerve problem. It will give you much piece of mind and settle your worries. Sending you much luck and strength for a better tomorrow!

yes but what ever is causing the pressure has to subside first. It could be a disk or enflamed muscle, things like that. You should see your doc again soon if it does not go away as could cause nerve damage if not taken care of. Also if you have numbness you have actually broken the nerve and does not repair. it will be numb the rest of your life.
Also what Garbage said is the main point. why the heck are you doing cocaine, please stop all the madness, concentrate on be a success. Write song lyrics, invent a simple product. Take this short time we have on earth an make something of yourself. (not that you havenet already) Its never to late to be famous!

I don't take cocaine often and I have been clean for four years until this relapse. I will not be doing anymore because of this, ever!!! But I have been worried about this nerve thing. I haven't been able to eat or do anything because of stress and worry because of this. I thought that a pinched nerve was permanent so what you said is great news. My neurologist wants to see me back in two months.

I agree with Life, it sounds like you pinched a nerve from overexerting yourself.  I am not a doctor, so if it persists I would talk to a doctor.  But in the meantime, take a hot bath and get yourself some icy hot patches. A pinch nerve does heal :o) The question now is, why did you go on the bender in the first place?  Do you take cocaine often?

Sounds like you pinched a nerve and the Mri might not have been taken in the correct place to see the damage. Cocaine will make you super active and you probably bent in the wrong direction. I have a pinched nerve and have the same symtoms as you.
