You have had a heck if a ride, and still help out the new comer. You congratulate people and research answer if needed. It's time to find a treat for yourself, and know you deserve it. After years of methadone and many drugs prior, you have overcome the biggest beast I've know, your potential is limitless. It takes a great deal of faith and determination to do what you have. Never give up your progress, it does keep getting better. I am honored to call you a friend. Yin and Yang are one, balance is inevitable. The growing pains slowly ease up, I'm excited to see how this unfolds for you. You are awesome.

WOW!  Lil Annie, CONGRATS!
So glad you are in our boat.   I love how forward you are,  I could imagine if we were all in a little life raft in middle of the ocean lookin at each other, like 'who can we eat first'.  You'ld club us with a paddle and we'd wake up with a mouthful of seaweed, knowing the definition of "bare essentials".

Either over the internet or the tele line. You are here for whoever needs your comforting at any giving moment. You took your brick wall and tore it down only to build a better and more beautiful brick wall against the Beast of Addiction. I know there are a few bricks that are not fitting in your wall yet. 6 MONTHS....180 hard won DAYS!  You truly are proving "the naysayers" wrong aren't ya, girl?  Knowing where you have come from....makes this milestone even more precious.  IV'ing H since just b4 your 18th birthday and look at you 30 years later? WooHoo!!  You are learning to feel the joy and pain in this life and blooming as you grow.  You have a fragrance of helpfulness.  

I agree with Weaver that it is time to "find a treat for yourself, and know you deserve it."  Throughout my recovery journey, at times I got (and still do) severely off-track by taking care of others b4 I took care of myself.  You have also shared that you've always had a bad case of "caretakeritis" and you tend to be loyal to a fault when it comes to friends.  That there are things you will do for them that you won't do for yourself.  I can SO relate.....it has been part of my ongoing healing process to find balance in this area.

You are worthy.....you are loved.....and my prayer is that you will continue to love yourself with the strength that you love others~
