Will suboxone show up on a standard drug test..

If yes,  would it show up as an opiate?

Would it EVER FOR ANY REASON show up as OXY?

Really need to know......
thanks in advance!!

Momojoe:   No, Suboxone will not show up on standard drug test. So sorry to hear about Joe. Has he been taking his Sub daily? If he tried some oxy, he should not have been able to get high. Is he getting alot of cravings? How about any support groups? N/A?  Increasing his Sub. alittle could take care of the cravings for now, but he will need to learn to deal with them eventually.  Good luck

Helpingmyson:   4 Months of useing is not a long time (luckily) and he should be able to get off the drugs alittle easier than a long term user. The longer he waits the harder it will get.  Maybe you could get him to come on this forum. Maybe hearing some of the horror stories will get thru to him. We'll all try to help.

Momojoe  &  Helpingmyson:   I'm a Mom too and I know sometimes no matter what we say to our kids, its wrong because its coming from MOM. Yet a friend or stranger could say the same thing to them and they'll listen.  Try to get your sons on the forum, it really could help.

Hi: I'm also going through what you are, helping my son. Personally, I'm getting fed up. He got off the percocet and sometime oxy use (he prefers percocet) and despite at home drug testing, he still used a couple of times (2 to 3 since October) In the past month the oxy portion of the test was very, very, very, light...almost not there. He admitted using suboxone. (not prescribed for him) So I don't know what to think about that. Did the suboxone cause the oxy line to be so light? So I bought suboxone single test strips and that was positive. Now the oxy line is just as dark as everything else (I use a 12 panel test that I buy on the internet) I told him that before I will support him getting on suboxone, I want him to try 30 days inpatient rehab. I don't know what else to do, but I certainly don't want him on pills without trying rehab first. He's had a short duration of use (approx 4 months) and he's only 19. For about a month last Sept-Oct he was using someone else's urine for the tests and I didn't even know it. I'm truly getting to the point of almost giving up and letting him do whatever, but then I would have to throw him out and I don't want to do that. My own quality of life has been severely affected by his drug use. In addition, it causes alot of friction between my husband and me. Although we basically agree to keep up our vigilance, I feel my husband it too lenient with him. I admit, I am too.

you know..... I am bumming, but I knew this was gonna happen, we are not special here. Subox might be a miracle pill' but it is not the miracle cure....

I dont know if I want to slap the **** outta him or what...
He says sometimes that I dont know how to be a parent to him, that I try too hard to be his friend, but when I try to be his parent he just fights with me... It is very hard

I have some time to think. have to visit my 90 year old grandmom today, so it will be hard to focus on joe until later.
I just dont know how to approach him sometimes.
I try to be nice,  he gets mad.
I try to be tough, he gets mad. .......classic ....... I am sure huh?

Nothing that comes outta my mouth seems to be the right thing to say.
ugh...!  wish someone would give me the script. (as in acting)

thanks for your support guys (that always sounds so "politics' when I write it lol)
but you have all been great... I will keep you updated

Hope everyone else is doing good. cant wait for the day that I can help someone else, instead of always being the one who needs the help...
