Hey Dragon, How are you doing? You have done a great job of tapering, but quite quick it seems. Hot baths are a must, drink lots of fluids, and eat as tolerated. Protien shakes are so helpful, advil for headaches, sleepy time tea for anxiety. Keep busy if you can get the energy. Keep posting. xx
You were on a lot of opiate there so I would expect you'd feel pretty awful.
Are you trying to taper? I'm not sure I get what you're doing? You dropped to 4 hydros. Why? You essentially eliminated your doses and gone cold turkey. The 4 pills are not going to cut it!
Right now concentrate on getting sleep however you can, whatever it takes. Sleep is important. Then food and fluids. You need it! If you have other issues, let us know and we'll try to suggest something...
Sonrissa offers some good advice - don't look too far ahead. What you can do is read the posts on this forum and learn from others who've been where you are now. It is a progression - harder for some because of the years of use, amount used daily, and - yes it's true - their age.
The physical detox may be hell, but the mental game is where most fail. Be very careful of the voices; you are already experiencing the whispers.
One thing I CAN promise you - there is life after pills and it is wonderful.
Keep posting.
Hi Dragon and welcome! Well, to answer your question, for me, I do not think beyond today! I don't worry about the "end game". I get up every morning and pray that I will get through just today! Plus I have no access to any pills at all! I guess I could fake an injury & go to the ER, but I'm not a good liar or actress, so I doubt that would work! Just get through as they say, one day at a time! Keep working your plan! I wish you all the best!
