For most, Suboxone should not be used for a 7-21 day taper. It is very dangerous. People tend to use it as a crutch and return to their doc thinking in the back of their minds that they can always use Sub to get off again. Unless you are already in counseling and heavy into a support group and are working on your recovery, I do not recommend it.
But, hang around, I am sure someone will come on and tell you different. At least weigh all of your options before making a decision. And make sure you follow the doctors instructions.
Good luck.
how much are you taking and for how long. weigh in your amount before taking a sub plunge. sub is nasty it will make your withdrawals worse. it seems doctors hand it out to patients because it won't get you high , it only curves your cravings and withdrawal symptoms. I tapered down to 1 norco 10 mg pill a day and that was broken in half 1 in morning the second at night before bed for a week then I stopped. ya I felt like crap for 3 days but here I am 6 days today yay! clean and sober. you have to be strong and stick to your goal you hv to want it! if the strongest pills your taking is just norco taper down to 1 pill. day then stop. if your only taking pills then I would advise against taking subs.
God Bless
