First one to freeze...

I seem to be the first person and more often than not, the only person to get cold in a room. I never felt like that before so I am assuming it has to do with what I did to myself with this drug. I can clearly remember how cold I was the first week of detox and maybe longer but it gradually or better as I started moving around. But still I get cold fast. Not so intense like before but it's hasn't been getting better either. Will it go away? Or can this be something I'll need to deal with permanently. And has anyone else had this feeling almost 8 weeks into this?

I AM FREEZING ALL THE TIME!  But hey, I do live in Canada...(:

I have no real info for why...I thought maybe my hormones were messed up from the opiates.  I'm seeing a naturopath and doing hot yoga.  My hands and feet feel like ice cubes and are sweaty...Yuck.  If anyone has the answers, yes, PLEASE let us know!!

Mike - I went from being the hormone queen and always hot and sweaty to being freezing all the time.  I'm always under a blanket snuggled down - very weird.  Glad to know it isn't just me.

I still get cold after 4 years of being clean from heroin. It's not as bad as it used to be, I don't shiver anymore but I still don't wear t shirts and shorts until its 80.

Temperature sensitivity is pretty common. It doesn't mean something has changed, we're just more aware of our senses when off the pills.
