Getting off narcotics

I've had 5 back surgeries which resulted in failed back surgeries syndrome and narcotics because I have severe nerve pain, a double fusion in my lower back which caused more pain and nerve pain down the leg. I excessive daily and push thru the pain. I m only 57 but have been on pain pills since 2006 pretty steady. I want off of them. I am in pain management and I don't Budd them but the pain is unbearable ruining my sleep and now I am on a Cpap machine. I want off of the machine and the pills - does any one have any ideas out there? I'd love to have the hardware taken out but a Boston dr said no so....  Praying for you all! God bless"

I'm always looking for new things because I can't accept that their is nothing more that can be done. I made a few typos in my last post:) I've had injections, exercise, physical therapy, massage therapy etc.  I've tried the neuro stimulator implanted but the trial was not for me. The only relief is a tens unit for now. I'm just hoping someone will have a new thing that might work, my drs know my desire to get better but mostly they just want to manage my pain. I'm looking for a fix. It's a toughie. Thanks for your post.

Your situation is unique - complicated by major pain management issues plus your desire to stop the meds.  My one and only suggestion - talk to your doctor. If you aren't comfortable or satisfied with the answer then get a second opinion.
I wish you only the best.
