Good girl - see, I know you had it in you. You're getting better, your head is already clearer. If it wasn't, that post wouldn't have affected you the way it did. And believe it or not, it's a GOOD thing to feel all emotions again. The good and the bad, but let me tell you, it makes us appreciate the good SO much more when we're actually present for our lives.
Enjoy the walk and let the tears come if they want to. It's a great release and can be very cathartic! :)
I hear you and I am going for a walk to clear my messed up head (hopefully). I just feel like crying right now so I hope that doesn't happen in the middle of my walk.
Nice and sunny but cold her. The cold will feel refreshing I am sure.
I will be in touch when I get back.
Hopefully in a much better frame of mind.
Hugs
Pat
Pat, you can do this. Part of recovery is taking what you need and leaving the rest.
The Lyrica is helping with your pain for right now and that's a good thing. When more time has passed, you'll be feeling stronger and your head will be in a better place. Right now, your emotions are coming to the surface and it will be hard to take anything you perceive as upsetting.
Which is why it's good that you've been staying busy and doing things every day. Slow and steady, here. Don't get ahead of yourself and STOP reading the info on the Lyrica. Down the road, if you decide you want off, you can do the research and wean yourself off. I've never read about horrific withdrawals from Lyrica (minus the link to that old post) - but overall, I don't think the w/d from it will come close to what you're doing today. (clean_in_kansas - I mean no offense, I get what you were trying to do here :) )
Pat - take what you need - LEAVE the rest - and just focus on staying in the moment. You'll get through this. And soon you'll be posting to others helping them the way you were helped. :)
Well your first post scared me and I told you that and then you had to dig up more stuff to terrify my further.
I don't need that today.
I am taking Lyrica and for the first time in 5 years I have been able to get up and move and was really feeling good about myself.
Now, i don't know what to do. Go back to bed for another 5 years and stay off the Lyrica????
Just saying, I don't know why you had to dig up that old stuff when I already told you I was scared.
Most people are here to recover from opiate addiction. I haven't seen one person come on with Lyrica addiction and that was a very old post.
No, I'm not trying to scare you.......I care about you.
Yes, you can be depressed.
PLEASE read that old post all the way thru. There are recovering opiate addicts that have shared that Lyrica was HARDER for them and they explain their personal h*ll in an attempt to help other people. I, for one, REALLY appreciate them for doing that. Because there are SO many drugs out there and many people are not pro-active about what they put in their bodies.....I'm just loving you enough to share what I've been reading.
That old posts has some VERY good facts on it. Teresa feels strongly about Tramadol, and I understand why. She has lived it. But the people on that old post have or ARE living it too!
I'm not being disagreeable here......just read the old posters and ALL of them. It opens eyes and teaches us something new, since THEY have lived it and are suffering NOW. They just want to HELP and so do I Pat!
Hugs a bunch~
Did you read that s h i t?
