Good info to know about Lyrica for pain.....

Not really a question.  Just wanted to share something really important for us addicts with pain that may use Lyrica.  On the WebMD.com site where you can check out effects of any drug, precautions, interactions, etc. the med guide says this:  "May cause abnormal drug seeking behavior (addiction).  This risk may be increased if you have abused alcohol and/or drugs in the past. Take EXACTLY as prescribed to lessen the risk of addiction."
A good precaution for me.....maybe it will help someone else, too.

I think just being knowledgeable about any drugs we take as addicts is a good thing, and I also think that if right now Lyrica is helping you gain control of your life then you should ABSOLUTELY take it Pat. Just being aware is a good thing and maybe not try to take it longer than you have to? But no matter what, Dont lose focus on the bigger picture which is getting yourself clean and sober! The rest of the details you can work out as they come right?

Just a grumpy day.  Not feeling too great and I didn't like what I read about the Lyrica.  That kind of upset me.  I don't need anything to set off my abnormal drug seeking behaviour.  It's bad enough.
I may ask my doctor to switch me to something else if that is possible.

I know that wasn't suppose to be funny......it just hit my funny bone since we were just talking about "potassium" and "tired".
  
I'm sorry you're tired.....I can SO relate......but you're clean and tired.....not sick and tired!!  That's a GOOD thing!
