Goodbye to Roxicet

I have been addicted to the lil blues since December 2009.  Anywhere from 15 to 90mg a day.  The money, the shame of my stealthy habit and basic envy of those whom do not need to snort these suckers in order to live an everyday life have given me a desire to get clean.  I gave quitting a shot three weeks ago but caved two days in from the withdrawals.  The restless leg thang really *****.

I am basically just looking to document my journey to getting clean and hopefully gain and give support where needed.  I do not want to get involved with opiate blockers and really cannot miss work.  I've heard vitamin B, ginger, OTC sleeping meds and simple genuine toughness are helpful aids in this recovery.

If anyone, those looking to recover and those whom have succeeded, care to join in on the discussion, please do so.  I would greatly appreciate it.  It's nice to have a forum like this chugging down the track.  Thanks for listening, or rather, reading :)

Sincerely,

Brennan

2 days without the blues.  I've got four 8mg suboxone strips that I'm thinking about putting to use.  Is it okay to only take half a strip?  Is this a regular practice?

Hey yeah getting clean is a great decision. Incremental change is better and failure. Keep strong we all have the will power in us its a matter of doing it and using that will power. Glad your joining the fight. Keep up the good work. It gets so much better just like everyone says.

Just wanted to say welcome. I wish you all the luck getting clean. It is a long hard road but one that is so worth it. I have been clean for a year now after a 13 year addiction and let me tell you all the hell I had to go through is NOTHING when it comes to regaining control of your life. Best Wishes
