Made it another day...now comes the night!

You know, my doc had prescribed me 10mg hydrocodone as well as Tramadol after my shoulder surgeries and I never even considered that I could be detoxing from the Tramadol as well as the hydrocodone until reading a post just a second ago.

I'm at the 84 hour mark from both now and I've made it through another day....YEAH!!!  I've come clean with my wife about what's going on from the beginning and she has been very supportive.  It was like a huge weight lifted off of my shoudlers not to have to deal with the detox and hide things from her at the same time.  I'm ready to be my normal self again!  I've not been the best dad to my kids (aged 6 and 2) since I started detoxing, but they understand daddy is not feeling well and will be better soon.

Now comes the hardest part of the day, which is the night time.  I've not done well sleeping so far, but hopefully tonight will be better.  Last night was about 2 hours total in 2 one hour bursts.

Good luck to everyone out there tonight!  I have to say this forum has been a great release for me to get my thoughts off of my back.  I've had 3 posts now and each time I've felt better after posting.  Thansk so much!!!

another day - good for you!!!  and so awsome you were able to get the support from your wife.  i was really glad to read that...

as for the sleep, honestly, if it were me i'd say do whatever it takes.  the lack of sleep makes it all a little harder, so if there's something you can take to get you some zzz's (Tylenol PM is pretty good) i say do it.  the sleep will do wonders.

regardless, HURRAY for you!  keep up the good work my friend... you will feel much better now as each day passes... really!

Get some melatonin. It says 3mg, but up to 10mg is OK. Any supplement store. It really helps the sleep.

from all ive read here , melanomin will help with the sleeping.  i think goingtomakeit can tell ya how many milligrams you can take. congrads and keep ur chin up...
