So it must be something else causing my anxiety then? Or maybe it's me again making myself think its the gravol making me have anxiety lol I worry WAY too much!
How do you deal with your anxiety/panic attacks?
Thanks :)
That's really helpful. Makes me feel a lot better! Haha . I have a doctors appointment next week so I'm going to ask her about it.
haha, girl I forgot to finish my third paragraph. I was trying to say, you may be doing this to yourself in your head...you may be psyching yourself out.
:o}
Oh and do you think it does something to the brain? I read something on google and it scared me
Another question I have is does gravol cause anxiety?
I tried that before cutting them into quarters and I woke up feeling nauseous. Maybe I make myself believe I'll get sick if I don't take any? That's what my boyfriend said. He takes way more than I do & he can go days without them. I think it's all in my head thinking I'll get sick without them.. I don't know
Try cutting it into quarters and reducing it that way and then maybe going every other night without taking one. You may have trouble sleeping and the switch to melatonin would be helpful for that.
It's worth a try.
I believe your body can get dependant on anything you take, especially when you take it consistently and for a long time.
Keep us posted on how you're feeling.
Hi hon,
unusual post. I have been taking gravol for years off and on to go to sleep at night. I take 2-3 before bed and sometimes I just don't take any.
I have never noticed a physical dependancy and when I have not taken them for a number of days or whatever the case may be........nothing as in w/d ever happens, physically or mentally for me.
I think you may have just been duped by your mind and body the time you "got sick"......maybe you were just sick and now you connect the two as one.
What were the other questions you had?
No I haven't .
I tried quitting before and I was sick the second day.
I took gravol constantly also when I quit I didn't get any withdrawals.
If you're taking it for sleep have you tried maybe switching to melatonin?
As far as doing "something" to the brain....good question......I should likely research that as well. The question of it causing anxiety....again I'm not sure but as a person myself who suffers from ongoing daily anxiety normally, I can say no it does not make me more anxious....that's why it
helps me to fall asleep.
*interesting note.....when I first started having panic attacks years ago, I was given a placebo to "help" me....well I'll tell you, I had the worse freakout panic and anxiety attack immediatley following that and I thought it
was the pill. Turns out it is really true how we can psychosymatically do this
to ourselves as of course I didn't know the pill was a placebo.
You should definitely talk to your doctor about this and I'm sure they will put your mind at ease and help you get off gravol.
Good luck sweetie, you're going to be fine.
