Is anyone on here taking lamital?  I need advice about it.  The doctor said I need a mood stabilizer.

What are you tapering off of? What dose are you on now?

She didn't say bipolar she said mood disorder.  Im currently taking wellbutrin 300.  I started that when I started the tappering.  So now I should add this other pill that has horrible side effects?  Im scared to try it but Im very depressed today.  I want to take more of my pills but I can't because of tapering.  ***** big time

If you've been diagnosed as BP, then I'd follow your doctor's recommendation's regardless. At my rehab facility, they recommend no antidepressants for 6 weeks after getting clean..that way you have a baseline. Some need them sooner. I'd defer to your doctor's recommendation.

Im also tappering off of oxycontin so how does she know that my moods aren't because of withdrawls?  Thats what I was asking.  I know how to look up bipolar forum.  I'm already on there thank you.  But I'm an addict also.  They say you self medicate so I was throwing it out here in this forum.
