HELP!!! Support Needed

OK, I am hoping someone can help.  I have been going to a Methadone Clinic for the last 2 years and on 80 mgs.  I was an oxycontin abuser before the Methadone.  I just had a knee replacement two weeks ago and took Ambien for a while for sleep...long story short I got involutarily removed from the Clinic.  The first day they dropped me down 20 mg (to 60 mg)  Three days later (today)...another 10 so now I am at 50mg  They will continue to drop me 10 mg every 3 days until I am done (that gives me 15 more days)...Can I do this????

HI  coming off methadone anyway is no fun the slow taperes take forever and stretch out the misery the fast ones are a little ruff yuor going to be sick for a wile but you get threw it faster
try not to let fear into the equation it will lonyll make it worst pick up a 3 in one vitamin at walmart calcium/magnesium/zinc and take 4 in the morning and 4 wityh dinner in a couple of days this will help greatly with the withdrawals ......sleep is going to be the big problem and about all you can do is tuff it out drink plenty of fluids and a hot soak goes a long way to get rid of the bone pain hang in there we habv had several members successfully detox this way
recovery can take a wile the withdrawal from your final dose is a 7 day week with some symptoms going into 2 weeks after that its usually just sleep issues and a major energy crash
look up the amino acid protacal these will help you recovery.....congrads on getting off the stuff good luck and God bless......Gnarly

It is upto you. Just tell your mind that this job i.e. to get detoxified, needs to be done at any cost. To quit drugs is a mind game,so be determined. wish you good luck.

I'm on day 20 something c/t withdrawal. Prepare for 14 days after taken off to feel like crap. Get your affairs in order, get to the DR and get clondine. You can do it. I white knuckled it.

Welcome! I am 73 days off methadone. I did it- You can too! You said they removed you from the clinic- Is this something that you wanted or were thinking about doing?- You really have to WANT to be clean. Honestly- you will feel the w/d - get prepared and stock up on the items in the Thomas recipe- they will help. Keep posting- that helps too! of course you can! my kids dad was on methadone after a 7 year heroin addiction, we were both users but i did ct he did methadone and they took him down like that too! and he did it, and he was comfortable doing it too its sounds scarier than it is but its good, take lotsa vits and gatoraid you will be fine
