A Question about Withdraw Symptoms of Tramadol

I have recently been taken off of tramadol by my Doctor after having taken it for 7 long years. It was a slow process that started in November 2007, about 6 months ago, and I have been completely off the drug since the end of March, 2008. I took the maximun dosage (Plus a little more) for years!  Now that I am completely off of it, I STILL am having a sometimes terrible Burning/ Tingling sensation on my skin that can encompass my whole entire body. Sometimes it isn't very noticable....other times it's much much stronger. This has been going on for a good couple of months now. If it gets too annoying I can usually get some pretty good relief from taking a hot bath, but that's not always practical. How much longer (does one think) will this go on???

Thanks in Advance

Steve

I took more than the rd'd dose also. I'm not familar with the burning/tingling sensation on the skin at all. Might be something else. I'd ask a professional or there are several nurses on here that may know something. I'm going on 5 months clean time. And congratulations to you! Doesn't it feel good to be done with tramadol?

You might want to get checked by a doctor it may be somthing else. I am not familiar with the burning/tingling w/d symptoms coming off Tramadol and I took larger than the RD'd dose for a couple years,  sorry I could not be of more help I hope the best for you.
