Has anyone tried Temgesic?

I know Temgesic is similar to Suboxone, but at a much lower milligram dose.  Does it work basically the same?  Has anyone had success with Temgesic?  My b/f of 2 yrs. is trying to overcome his Oxy addiction and is now down to 1/2 Oxy (80 mg.) per day (snorting).  He has just started a new job, so cannot go cold turkey.  The only doctors in Lafayette, LA who prescribe Suboxone are specialists, and he does not have health insurance, nor the money it would cost for that sort of treatment.

Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Temgesic is Buprenorphine, which is Subutex. Just google it. It's all there.
