Help Now? How do I get this out of my system sooner?

Jebo-Mighty.  I have oxycontin 80mg XR for when my back gets really bad.  Never took one before, has always been afraid to because 3 percs a day usually works for the pain.  It was so bad I was crying and crawling around on the floor this morning so I finally grew some nads and took one and I don't like it.

I swallowed it whole, didn't crush, cut, snort, inject it.   Is there anything I can do to feel better quicker?

Thanks everyone, it finally wore off and just left me tired as all get out.  I don't think I'll be taking those again unless the pain gets worse than it was today.  I know you can't cut them, maybe I'll ask for 30's or 40's.

Stay away from as much as ANYTHING that you can. You may feel funny now, but I will bet your brain is really liking these things. It is so easy to caught in between being a pain patient and being addicted. Been there..done that..got the t shirt to prove it.

So hang her with us for a while till you feel better.

i used to take the same med but my dr worked me up to them..u know i started with percosets the roxicets then oc 40's then 80's this was over a course of 5 yrs....ur dr should have gave u roxicet for extreme pain but anyway.....im not a dr so lol....u will be fine in 12 hrs.....if u feel sleepy go to bed...when i first started taking them i know they made me sleepy.....drink some milk if u can that will coat ur stomach and it takes some of the weird feeling away....as long as u r not breaking out in hives with an allergic reaction then like i said i think u will be ok ...flush the rest of the pills   lol.....

ok, my little oxy friends are gonna say hello to the toilet bowl man.  I'm torn now, I'm starting to not feel so crappy..... but I do NOT want to get used to these.  Pain is gone but I'm staying in bed with my laptop because if I do something ot hurt it worse, I won't feel it until later.

If I had to describe it, it feels like someone plugged something into my brain and is electrocuting it when I move to fast, so no--- I'll leave my Tractor outside and wait on practicing my knife juggling til tomorrow.  Maybe I should just relax, I thinking being all uptight about it, is making it worse. The one thing better about this than the percs is all that filler aspirin **** isn't shredding my stomache lining.

Guess I'll speak to my Doc on my next appt.  I can't afford to jaunt off and see him when ever the whim hits me, I'm an out-of-pocket patient.  I see him once every 3-4 weeks.  The Brother I only see every few months.

Ultrams work good to for breakthrough pain.  HOWEVER, I've been reading bad things about it (liver problems).

Everyone is so different hun, it is hard to tell. It should usually last for 6 to 8 hours for pain that is..so take it from there.

Just be careful doing anything..like sharpening knives...driving a tractor trailer...(trying to make you smile)

you may feel bad  alot of the day going from 15 mg  jumping to 80 is a whole lot.

XR means extended release. You may feel better by tonight, definitely in the AM.

The pain is gone but I fee like my head is rammed up my arse... how long does this last for?

yeah, the doctor gave me 20 of them a few months ago and told me to only take them when I was having horrible pain.  (As opposed to paying a hospital for an ER visit)...  I just shoved them in my cabinet and never took em.  Well, it wasn't the SAME doctor, but they are in the same practice and Brothers, they both use my same chart when I go in there. One is a Psych/Neurologic/Addiction Specialist, the other is Pain Management.

Ya not really you can try water but that is not going to get it out of blood stream ....you should be feel much better by morning ........ that is a big jump from 3 percs to 80 ml of oxy ...did the same doctor rx them both.
