Help for addiction to Percs and Xanax

I have been taking apporx 10 percocets a day for about 4 years now. I ran out early as usual and now I am freaking out!. I just took 10 xanax and consumed 5 mini bottles of vodka. Can someone please help me out of this!

Are you o.k. I know how hard it is to get off those things. I have been clean for two years. You need to go to the e.r., and be treated because pills almost killed me. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. Poemdivaa

I'm SOOOO glad you went to the ER!  The consequences could very well have been disastrous if you hadn't!  Best of luck to you.....take it one day at a time and get the help you need......this forum is a great place to come for moral and emotional support on top of your treatment plan.  YOU are worth it.  EVERYONE is worth it!

Thanks to all of you for your concern. I did call 911 and go to the hospital and they had to pump my stomach. I made a huge error in judgement and now I have a lot of though decisions to make. Thanks for all your help.

Mixing benzos with alcohol is a recipe for disaster, even for people with high tolerance.  Sadly, there was a well-loved poster not too long ago...in search of a simple good night's sleep....mixed alcohol and benzos, with a sleeping pill.  She died.

I too hope everything is okay with this poster.  :0(  Hope they check in!

before everyone gets all excited, how many milligrams were the xanax. i have alot of experience being a human garbage disposal. my tolerance became so high that to take that many pills and drink was a daily goal for me. so maybe, just maybe we will get a post that all is well. driving on that much meds is the worst thing i could think of. don't get me wrong. i am not trying to condone it. it's just that for some people it's well.. kinda normal.

please if you havnt left now go immed. to the er or call someone to take you better yet dont drive but get help asap. hope you have never taken that amount at once and please have someone post to let us know you are o.k.

Dudette, your action seems pretty wreckless to me.  I get the feeling that you know that taking Xanax with the vodka is a very dangerous thing to do.  I don't know your normal alcohol consumption, or your normal Xanax consumption, so either one of them by themselves, if they are what you normally take, may not be something to freak about, but together, or if you normally don't take that much Xanax, or alcohol, you could be headed for big trouble my friend.  Taking Xanax and alcohol together are trouble for a couple of reasons.  The first would be the central nervous system depression that is resultant, and then what could be respiratory depression.  The second, would be worry for your poor liver.  For it to process the booze, and the pills at the same time, is a daunting task for it...it is a harmful thing to do by all accounts.  

Were you trying to commit suicide or trying to become unconscious at the least?  I am thinking you were at least trying for the latter, and I'm concerned that you may wind up succeeding.  Please do not take anything else.  Is there anyone home with you?  If not, you certainly cannot stay there yourself with no one to keep an eye on you.  You also cannot get behind the wheel of a car or put yourself in harm's way by getting to a hospital on your own even by walking.  Please call either a friend, or 911 to take you to the hospital.  You will get yourself out of immediate danger by doing that, and I'm sure they will at least point you in the direction of how and where to seek help, if they don't do it for you there themselves.

You just took 10 zanax all at once??  Get to the ER NOW.  Call 911 if you dont have anyone to take you.
