Help for my mother that is severly addicted to METH

Help,Help.
My mother has suffered from mental illness and drug addiction for many years. She had stopped when she found out she was pregnant again but recently has started up again about 2 years ago. I am her oldest daughter and very conserned for her well being and more conserned for my brother that is now 5 years old. She has gone so far that she has her own mother, boyfriend and son believing in alien attacks all around her. I am so scared for my little brother! She is never around anymore and takes off for days at a time... What i want to know is if  they would be anyway to get her into rehab forcingly??? i know it sounds bad but if something is not done soon she will either kill herself or someone round her....Remember she has a mental disability also and take anywhere from 8 to 10 different pills a day also..... PLEASE help

I am addicted to meth it is my drug of choice, let me first offer hope, recovery is possible I am living proof. Here is the downside the person using has to want to get clean and live in recovery, which is a whole lot better than just not  doing meth right now. In my opinion calling childrens services to protect your brother is while not fun nessecery. You can't control your mom and it's not your fault. Go to a ALANON or ALATEEN depending on age . You will find a huge punt of strenghth and support from people who are in your shoes also. Good luck! I am here if you need.

I know it would be hard for you to take the neccessary steps to help your mom. But every minute you delay your baby brother is in danger. I would get a adult family member or friend. Clean not another using addict. Call NA and see where a alanon meeting is. Attend one  and see if anyone is willing to talk to her. Don't stop until you get someone to help you in person. Today would be the best time to do this

yes I agree with the above poster.  If you are not old enough to have her commetted, you can always have a couple of your adult family members to do it.  It sounds to me that she needs a lot more than just a drug rehab. Please keep us posted and let us know haow you are doing?

Hello.  May I ask how old you are,as you would need to be of legal age to step in.If she is neglecting a child as young as 5, there are things the authorities could do. Check it out with the cops or childrens aid. Good luck to you.
