Like said above, it is different for everyone.  For me the first 14 days seemed to really kick my butt and then depression set in.  I had to work hard to stay on top of it with all the support I have received here!  You CAN do this!  It's so WORTH it!  I am so pleased that I'm doing well now, but I keep myself in check every day!  There are still times when I want to take a Lortab in the worst way.  Recently, my brother was visiting and he has MS and has vicodins with him and I was so worried it would tempt me having them around the house.  My mother had Lortab in the house and my hubby hid them and then while my brother was here (since he does not have insurance) my mother refilled her script and gave all of the pills she had to him.  I was thankful they were out of the house.

Anyway, I didn't mean to get side tracked, but it does take time for us to stop thinking about it.  The physical addiction will be painful in the beginning, like the worst flu you've ever had and then after that - you'll have to fight the mental addiction.  You CAN do it!  We are HERE for YOU!!!!

Hugs,
Janet

remember you didnt get addicted in a week and it is not logical to think you will be back to normal in a week.  recovery is an ongoing process....important thing is IT DOES GET BETTER WITH TIME!!!!

Everyone is different some week, 2 weeks,etc...I do know the more you sweat the faster you get it out of your system like in hot tub or sauna etc..... That way you sweat all toxins out of fat tissue...make you feel better faster.

AA has a saying "90 meetings in 90 days" and this is because 90 days seems to be the time needed for our brains to heal enough to keep us from relapsing...most relapse before the 90 day time is up....tyrosine and exercise helped my energy levels return...it is a long battle tho and the fatigue was awful!  it passes tho...good luck and keep posting..lots of support here

Everyone is different, there is no set time, but the first week or so is rough usually. What day are you on? If you look in the top right you will see health pages with the thomas recipe and amino protocol, check it out, it may help.  Just remember the physical is the easier part, it doesn't last, but the mental part and cravings do and that's why it's so important to get aftercare. Stay strong and you will start to see positive changes, i know it sux at first, but I promise it gets so much better. What is the longest you have stayed clean
