Day 1 woo

This isn't really a question, just wanted to say I have finally stopped lol. Today is only the first day, but last night I did my last pill (i ended up doing one more pill after the 730am line that i had snorted--it was really impulsive but it was before 12am so i counted it as still my last day of doing it) Anyways, I did it with a friend who really wanted to try it, and she loved it and was liek we are sooo going to do this together from now on! She really wanted to get another and do some more this morning and I was going to, but then I decided not to, and it wasn't even that hard. I was just like, NO, I am not doing it, and didn't even let my mind wander to the "what if i did.." Anyways, I sat out in the sun all day at the club nearby my house and went swimmning with friends. It was super distracting and the sun and water (and suboxone lol) made me feel a lot better. The suboxone is really helping, but I still have the chills/sweating real bad amongst some other minor things. For everyone on here that had to hear me complaining and prolonging my time that I was still doing it, i just wanted to let you know that I actually did stop lol.

This girl had been bugging me forever to let her try it with me and i have turned her down so many times even when she was drunk and screaming at me. This night, I was in her house, and it was her oxycontin, i tried to get her to stop, but she wouldn't, so i did the next best thing and did her entire pill (minus about 5mg) which she had already done.

And thanks everyone for the encouraging words.

I know what you mean about giving drugs to people, especially "drug-naive" acquaintences. The huge problem is introducing someone to anything that could ruin their lives -- even kill them somewhere down the line. In any case, you have to take responsibility for whatever drug-related disaster befalls them, and there are plenty of options there, including the extreme outcome I mentioned.

If it's an exchange with someone who's in as deep as you are, that's a bit different, although if that particular exchange had tragic consequences, I'd feel responsible for that, too. Please, everyone, don't introduce anyone to addictive drugs!

Cassie, I didn't submit this to make your life any more miserable than it may be over the next week or so, but tell your friend some horrible stories (feel free to embellish) about the consequences of getting involved in this sorry mess we find ourselves in ... maybe you could invite her over (provided she has no sources and won't be showing up with a handful of whatever you were taking) while you're in withdrawal, so she can see where it all ends up for those who get caught up in this unpleasant predicament. You won't have to play "make-believe," because you won't be some idealized Party Girl in her mind once she sees the result of that great buzz, but you can vomit on her if she doesn't get it.

So, great choice on quitting, try to keep us up to date on your progress and hang in there. Sorry if I came across like "Dr. Gloom" there, but there was this incident decades ago that haunts me forever, and though I think most everyone here knows the score on sharing this stuff, I wanted to reinforce this point: Don't share your drugs with neophytes (beginners), ever.

Best of luck to you, Cassie. We watch with optimism, 'cause you seem determined, and that counts for so much.

I am so happy to hear your stopping Cassie so congrats on one day. You are one of the few young people that has stuck around here and kept trying and for that I applaud you. Remember getting clean is the easy part, STAYING clean is tough so keep posting and learning as much as you can. I am proud of you.

I am not sure if i read that right, but don't feed friends this **** if they wanted to try it? THese drugs kill people and destroy lives. During my use as bad as I got, not once did I ever let someone try my coke, I could not live with myself getting someone hooked. Stay in that pool today and enjoy the rest of your clean weekend:) Congrats

Hope you're up to posting over the next few days. In the past, I've been far too lumpy to sit at the keyboard and type. I know that's selfish, and I'll really try next week ...

Best of luck. Leaving all the running around, waiting, being constantly broke , etc. will be a bad memory for you.
