Oh, I hurt and I'm so mad I hurt. Tylenol doesn't touch it (can't take motrin, alieve, aspirin, and so on) and even the neurontin doesn't kill all the pain. I'm just hoping that if I can somehow get things moving more that maybe I will be able to deal with this and it won't be major. The PT said I had to be very careful or I would make things much worse.
The stupid doctor called in the tramadol and wouldn't budge on giving me codeine. Then the nurse tells me I have to watch out for serotonin syndrome and siezures!!! No advice on how to take this with the neurontin. I am dropping one neurontin today and will no doubt drop the other quicker than recommended. That will leave the third one which I will take at night and then drop.
I called my surgeon's office and the PA was afraid to call in a different script and make my doctor mad!!!!
Which part of, I can't see don't they get? And I would just love serotonin syndrome. Maybe my doc would like a major lawsuit since in reality she is the reason I got hooked in the first place. I was doing fine on codeine and she jumped me to fentanyl patches. There was no reason to do that. She said that way I wouldn't get tylenol and I didn't know what a patch was. I trusted her.
Well, the first surgeon knew, and immediately downed me to oxycontin with codeine for breakthrough pain. That was my first withdrawal.
Sorry for the vent. I think the neurontin is not bringing out the best in me.
I just need to drive so I can get to the PT, massage and pool so I can make an effort of getting this under control. At this rate I need to find a pain management that does not use suboxone or subutex!
And that should take another month to get an appointment!
Thanks for writing,
Lizzy
Fuzzy here. You can take Tramadol and Codeine. I am a codeine addict well recovering. I used to take tramadol and codein . In one mouth full. I believe withdrawals are personnel and depend on the level of addiction and length of addiction and your body's healing power and your age. The more pain medicine you take the more your mind will tell you that your body is hurting. But if you are indeed 100% sure you hurt go for it.
Best of luck . . . . . . . .
hey girlee well you have entered into the dobble edged sward of pain management
it becomes a choice you have to make to be zoned out on the pills or deal with the pain
both options have there blessings as well as there curse if your in realy bad physical
pain ...pain pills may be the only answer but along with them comes living in a fog
living in a fog and you miss what life realy has for you...I find that after some time off the narcotics your body pain clock sorta resets itself and your actual pain becomes more manageable with otc stuff like motrin or tylonol you just have to be off the narcotics for a wile...its a viscous cycle your body wants narcotics so it creates pain to get them
once you break the cycle things get better...I was in more pain on 150mg of methadone then I am now without it...go figure..anyway the best of luck to you
try praying to God for releaf it helps me a great deal hes all you got when nothing else works....good luck and god bless.....Gnarly
