withdrawal concern

i am still a stressful mess... i tapered off of vicodin after 9 mths of scripts...
after taking nearly 6-7 per day for months...i tapered down to 4 per day for four days... then 3 per day for four days... then 2 per day and then just one...
i have not had a pill in over 72 hours... my withdrawals have been somewhat limited to a few stomach issues and a few headaches...
i am so stressed waiting to feel like complete hell...
is there a chance the mental stress is my worst part... or will day four and five potentially be awful...
any support or advice is appreciated...

You are not alone in the emotional cesspool.  I spent several days cranky, crying like crazy....moody...the whole 9 yards.  The B12 shot I got actually helped with that.  Let's see...it started chillin' for me around 12 days...but I imagine it is different for each person.

If you are still having issues do what you can to bring your mind out of it.  I watched some Bill Engvall comedy tapes and laughed more than I have laughed all years and it really really helped.

If you've got some friends who always make you smile and laugh...talk to them...do anything you can to keep your mind busy :-)

BTW hours 48-72 are usually the worst so I would say you are almost out of the woods!  Congrats on your new pill free life (:

Absolutely agree with all said above.  Your dose was not high and you tapered so don't stress.  I would say your withdrawals should be quite mild.  Don't watch the clock or anticipate.  Stay busy and hydrate and surrender when you need to.

I agree with Jinx...they may not be too terrible and you're stressing your mind and body for no good reason. Either way, whether it's bad or not, you'll have to deal with it. But all the things Jinx posted above make it tolerable so I truly think you're gonna be OK, whether it gets worse or not, at the end of the day, you are still gonna make it. :) Don't put too much thought into what "might be"...deal with what's going on now and take each thing as it comes. You're gonna be just fine :):)

the mental part is the worst and sometimes anticipating the horrible withdrawals you will read on here and elsewhere will make it worse for you.
you did a pretty fast taper BUT you were not on them long.
your worst days will likely be days 2-4, but again because of the length of time and amount you used your withdrawals should be minimal.

just make sure you stay hydrated.  if you become dehydrated you will feel 100 times worse.
if you have not already start taking cal/mag/zinc all in 1 vitamin, a good multivitamin
take hot epsom salt baths.  it contains magnesium which will really help with RLS.  that will likely be the worst for you
lots of bananas
i usually have RLS even when not detoxing, so when i am detoxing it is horrible.  i have rubbed my legs down with ben gay or icy hot and wrapped them in ace bandages after getting out of a hot bath.  works miracles
you can also get those ugly stockings in the pharmacy department.  they are great for RLS as well
for sleep you can use melatonin or zquil which doesn't have the cold medicine just the sleepy stuff.  also something called CALM and sleepytime tea.
if you cannot sleep don't just lay there and be miserable. walk around a bit, eat a banana and take a hot soak, wrap your legs or put those stockings on (they are easier than wrapping them) and then try again.

again... i don't think your withdrawals with be that hard physically, but everyone is different

I am reluctant to say that you are home free but yes, absolutely, stressing out and anticipating withdrawals can be your worst enemy at this point.  Your taper seemed reasonable. You are bound to experience some withdrawals but if I were you, I'd expect each day to be better than the last from this point forward.
