Want to hear something funny and ironic? I actually TOLD my doctor NOT to give me 100 norco at a time but to give me 30 vicodin 5/500 per month as I am trying to cut back on the pain meds and heal through exercise and healthy living... know what he said???  "Ah, just break them in half".  ok.

yeap i hear that they used to just hand me whatever i asked for. now that i want off its like they lost the little prescription pad.  not funny but i am trying to make myself laugh to release some indorphins. hehehehe really not funny thoe.

last time i went to doc, he wrote out 4 scripts like it was nothing!!

You can get codiene, norco, hydro's and anti-anxiety/deppressent all in one scrip!!!

What kind of doctor is it? A Pain Mgt Doc? In a clinic ?  In any case, you need to see a different (real) doctor.

lol, just sent you a message then saw your posts.  thanks for the advice.  i dont sleep much either with the kids and everything else!  i am going to TRY to get some sleep tonight.  MAJOR storm rolling in through Tahoe though!! ;-)

do you have someone you REALLY trust that can hold them for you and give them to you as you both discuss so that you cannot approve them?  That is what me and my hubby did and it helped but there were a few times that i prob could of dealt with the pain just simply didnt want to and he gave into me.  so make sure the person knows dont give it to me unless i actually can have it.  I REALLY hope things work out for you,

If you read my other posts or journals, I am really trying to get off this s**t.  I DO have pain but am trying to find a medium and a life w/o pills.  I am afraid to TELL my doc I am an addict as then I will end up like Destiny and be cut of if I really do need them.  I KNOW I am not responsible with them though.  Hard balance.  I still look for the balance all day every day.

But so true...it seems like it's almost impossible to first get on them, but after your diagnosed w/ pain....you cant pay the doctor to stop writing (an upping) you scrips!

I hear you there.  im dealing with alot of drahma with trying to come off and doc telling me well you have told me your an addict there is nothing i can give you.  i have herd all these great things about some meds that help you w/d as i do have 4 kids and i work full time i just wanted a little help. but heck no!!! i REALLy feel your frustration all to well.

I had the same problem with one of my docs i was also on narco and when i asked for the low dosage vicodin i was asked well do you want oxycotin?  WTF??? why do i want a higher dosage when i am trying to get off them.  they just dont listen.  good for you to tell him to limit you and give you a lower dosage.

all dr's shold have to go through wd's so they can have true understanding of what they are doing when they over prescribe.  i don't REALLY mean that, but i just get so frustrated at times.
