Hey all update feeling better

Hi feeling better.  Hard to believe last week I was on the brink of suicide.  I am hopeful, scared, lifted up all at once.  My husband just wants me to get help and go through the program for diversion.  I am 4 weeks clean now and starting to understand my situation a little better.  I have considered all of your posts.  Even after posting the last thread, I went into a downward emotional tailspin when I thought my husband had had it with me.  I do have a ton of support from the nursing program, and they have given me no choice which is what I needed.  Life will be beautiful.  Thanks everyone...I hope I haven't lost any friends here.  Things are getting busy and expensive.  I have to leave town 3 times this week for this, and still maintain meetings everyday and potential urine drug screens on those days as well.  Please know that you have helped...... Joy

Yes I will be very busy with the board of nursing, not to mention broke.  Anyway, I have my entry assessment tomorrow out of town, then have to drive real far out of town for another MD visit.  All the while I have to complete a lot of self assessments, and get into an intensive outpt rehab that is located one hour away as well.  I have been attending the AA/NA meetings.   Thanks for everything, and I will be in touch.

Stay strong Sister.

Wherever you go, there are meetings... I promise you that.

Keep fighting the good fight, and it'll get better and better as the days pass. Before long, your thoughts of offing yourself will be a distant memory, and something you can thumb your nose at. I had the very same thoughts, and I now look into the past and laugh at how silly it all seemed. At the time... futility. Now... HOPE!

Congratulations on kicking it!!!

Congrats!  I've been following your story and was really worried you were going to let life's pressure talk you into giving up.  You did it!  NOW you sound focused on building a new life instead of constantly worrying about how to make it like it used to be.  Good for you - you're on the right track now.  :-)
