withdraw off hydrocodone with methadone?

i have been taking about 3 10/325s every 4 hours for about 2 years.. i get 180 every month and i go thru them in 2 1/2 weeks .. then i use methadone to take away the withdraws, untill the next month..

My question is .. if i were to stop the hydrocodone and use the methadone for about 5 days ... would i be free of withdraws?

Trust me man.....I tried the same thing....I used to suppliment my hydro, oxy, and basically anything I could get my hands on with methadone....Then, I was addicted to methadone!  I am going to tell you that there is no worse detox then from methadone!  Seriously, you need to take a good look at what you are trying to accomplish.....If you want to quit....quit!  Cold turkey is the best way.....there are a lot of things you can do to minimize and lessen the time of detox but PLEASE.....put the methadone down!  Plus, some people stop breathing when drinking and taking methadone!

hey i went through went you went through it wasnt  good , i had to get on suboxne . That it the only thing i can think of for you right know so you don't go through bad withdrawls.

I am no doctor but it is my opinion that you will go thru withdraw from the methadone, which is much worse than hydro.  Methadone has a very long shelf life.  Please be careful mixing the done with anything.  A whole bunch of people that I know have died doing just what you are doing.  Methadone stays in your system a long dang time.  Be careful because when you play with fire you will get burned.  If I were you, I would stay far away from the methadone. Just my opinion.  I will be here for you no matter what you decide to do.

If you have been going from the hydro to the methadone and you are taking the methadone almost as long as the hydro you may find that you have a harder time coming off the methadone then the hydro .going for one to another is a really bad idea ..why dont you try tapering off the hydro or have u
