Hi TS,, glad to see you've found us here on Medhelp. I had to kick a bunch of stuff myself, 14 years ago. It's doable. You won't be judged here for your habit, have no fear. You getting clean is doable. You only need to start. If it were me, i would taper down from 6 to 5 etc.and over time, you'll be free and in the know about the dangers of scripted or unscripted narcotics. We're here for you, reach out by private message anytime to anyone to help you through. God speed. Liz

If you have only been doing it for 6 months it wont be bad. I was taking them for a year and quit cold turkey. I had body aches and couldnt sleep. ..I see that a lot of people had diarreha and throwing up.. I did not do that. When i quit i was taking about 10 pills a day. So you can do it. Just dont think negative about it. Do it to it!!!

Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. I went through this with my daughter. If you can stick to it, you could do a taper. If not, you'll need to go to a treatment program, which will stay in your medical records. It's great that you've realised this is a problem you need to address and deal with. I've seen a lot of people mess up  relationships, jobs, finances and their health with this problem. You can do this. Do you have friends or relatives to support you?
