How do you deal with restless legs at night?

Well, I made it through day 3. I even worked all day!! Last night was really rough. I couldn't sleep at all and struggled with restless legs really badly. Any ideas how to relieve that?
Also have lots of nasal congestion and diarrhea today. These are new symptoms. How long do these last?

I'm on day 7 ans the restless legs are still bothering me. Hylands didn't work for me either.
Take a really hot bath with epsom salts then get out apply icy hot gel and wrap sore area (for me it was my quads) with ace bandages or tensor bandages. It'd the only thing that kind of releaves it. I also ate 4 bananas a day n drank 5 poweraide I dunno how much that helped. If you can find an infra red sauna in your area (I went to one at my local tanning salon) it helped so much with legs and whole body. Good luck! Congrats on day 3
Oh ya I know it hurts but I also made myself go up and down stairs it helped my legs

Rls is one of the hardest symptoms to deal with. I have tried the hot baths and relaxation. My doc ended up prescribing clonidine for rls as well as anxiety. Congrats!!  Ur doing great!!

If you can make yourself believe the Hylands works, then it will.
As i just stated in another post, RLS is the worst part of wd for me.. Hands down

Day 4 for me. I managed to work today as well but have no idea how I made it. Can't breathe at all either. Frequent bathroom breaks, too. Headaches, body aches, insomnia, etc etc

Had some Flonase from last time I did this and it holds me over temporarily. Tylenol. Hot showers. Persistence

Nice to know others are here with me through this

Thank you

Congrats on day 3 molly!  I agree that hot baths with Epsom salts are really good for the RLS symptoms. I spent hours of my early detox days in the tub!  I would light a few candles and play some 'relaxing' music - like Heaven on Earth!  The Restless (or it might be "Restful") Legs product is by Hyland's; I found it at the Vitamin Shop and Meijer if you don't have a Walmart close.  My doctor suggested magnesium tablets (though you may want to hold up on these until the diarrhea stops), and bananas too; they both can help with sleep as well.  The diarrhea and nasal problems (I sneezed like crazy) are really common and should go away within a week or so.  Hang in there...all of these symptoms are temporary :))

My Pdoc prescribed a medication for me. Ropinirole. I've also read there is an over the counter medicine, Restless leg at Walmart. Hot baths with Epsom salts. Mine were so bad last time, I bought white medical tape & am going to try taping my legs up tight. This time I'm going off pain pills gradually,so maybe the restless legs won't be as bad. The best of luck to you. Pamela
