How long do psychological symptoms of wd last?

I am happy to say I have been of Lortab for about 30 days after 1 year of constant use.  I am sleeping and have no more physical symptoms.  That said, I cry every day.  I feel empty and nothing can excite me.  It take everything I have just to get to the grocery store. I have been on anti-depressants for years and they are not helping.  Will taking Tramadol or something else help?  Any other ideas to help?

I am 46 days free off opiates and I know how you feel.  Honestly I had some major depression on days 30-34.  However I have been feeling really good this last week.  Exercise is huge.  I started trackng my moods and my exercise and every day that I went for a run I had a good mood and a good day.  If I did nothing to elevate my heart rate and get the endorphins going I had a depressed, tired, awful day.  Even if you do not want to or feel like you cannot get up and get some exercise.  I have found that this is making all the difference for me.  Do NOT take tramadol.  It is just as addictive, maybe even worse so it is basicly the same as going back to any pain killer.  hang in there.  it will get better

Congrat's on 30 days of clean time!!

This is the part of withdrawal that gets to me too. It's hard, but try to exercise, it gets your endorphins firing. There is a product called 5HTP that helps with Serotonin and depression, some people on here swear by it. 5HTP is not recommended for those on SSRI's though. Not sure about MAO's.
