How long do withdrawals last?

Hi I have posted on here several times. I was taking Percocet everyday for about 6 months, way more than I should have. I was up to 6-7 30mg tabs a day. I tapered down one pill a day until I was down to ½ a 5mg tab. It has been 2 days since I have taken anything. I’m still feeling horrible. How long will it take to get back to normal? Does me tapering down to such a little amount have any effect on the days it takes? I read it takes about 7 days, but how can this be if I was down to so little with no serious side effects? Any information would be great. Thank you.

HI....well you did about all the damage control you could tapering to 1/2 a 5mg pill im suprized your feeling it but goes cto show you no 2 withdrawals are the same our bodys get use to having the poison then we take it away and get hit with the side effects I know of several members who took it down to 1 pill a day and still went threw 4 days of withdrawals
I would think after a couple of days you should start coming out of it but like tram said theres always lingering issues you have got a lot going for you you weren't on them that long and you tapered down but it is what it is and any withdrawals su ck hang in there keep posting for support we all want to see you succeed good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that everyone is different, but you are at least halfway done with the really hard physical stuff if you haven't had anything in 2 days.  I'd say 3-5 days is the worst, but some people do have it for a week or so.  The insomnia and fatigue and restlessness last a little longer.  It's also hard to regulate body temp for a couple of weeks after you stop.

Good luck!  Keep posting! : )
