How long for Tramadol withdrawal?

So, I'm just wondering how long withdrawal from Tramadol usually lasts.  I have been doing a lot better lately; the brain zaps are very infrequent, and I usually feel okay on just 2mgs of Suboxone a day.  I want to stop taking the Sub when the withdrawal from Tramadol should be over, but I heard that Tramadol withdrawal lasts longer than opiates.  I'm getting excited because I might not even need an SSRI, as I am feeling much better from the Serotonin withdrawal symptoms.  I just wanted to know how many days till I shouldn't be feeling Tram withdrawal anymore, so that I know it is time to stop the Suboxone.  I don't want to stay on Sub just because I feel crappy or don't have energy, when that could just be how it is to feel normal.  I've made that mistake in the past.  It has been so long since I just felt like myself, that I have to fix any feeling out of the ordinary with a little pill.  If feeling "normal" contains a few body aches and pains, and anxiety, then taking more Sub for that, when it's not withdrawal, will only get me hooked on the Sub again.  So if I know how long the effects of Tramadol withdrawal last, I will know better what I am feeling.  Sorry so redundant, just making sure I'm explaining it right!

stop the sub...like avisg says...the opiate/tramadol part is out of your system. You're just going to have to give it a little time. Don't stay on the sub...you're messing with fire

Okay...is it me?  I'm confused... Are you taking tramadol AND sub????????

Okay...just re read the post.  How long have you been off the tramadol?  Did the doc put you on sub?  That's who you should talk to.

And...tramadol IS an opiate with an SSRI. The withdrawals from that are usually 2 weeks or so...

As you probably have read here, everyone is different. Some people it only takes 5 or 6 days, some it takes weeks. I think your best bet is to work with your Suboxone doctor and explain to him/her that you don't want to be on it long term. See what they say.

I also suggest that you engage in some form of aftercare.

Best of luck!!
