Hydrocodone Detox, 1st day and I need to post something..lol

Here it is, after lurking in the shadows and reading posts and preparing for this day, my story and vents...
I have been taking Hydrocodone for 2 years, starting with the gradual increase of course with the mindset of, "lol...I would never end up taking this things daily, yada yadda" pestering me in my brain until I finally just ended up in the end of taking 60 to 120mg of them everyday. A sorta window of oppurtunity (lying out of my ***) in taking 5 1/2 days off work occured. During the past week, from mon until thurs I was taken 60mg, then on friday I had 20mg. Lol..then I had to stop cold turkey.

It has been, as of an hour and a half ago, 24 hours since I took anything. Last night, even after about 6 hours of none, It kicked in. Mostly cold sweats and lack of sleep. However, with a bit of planning with what money I had (not much due to my habit), I got advil PM, Hyland's Leg Cramp medicine (some homeopathic medicine that heIps with leg cramps and promotes sleep), multivitamins, potossium pills, cough medicine, immodium, green tea, and a huge jug of water). After a restless sleep, I went in for work in the AM for a half day and felt like I was freezing, coughing, a bit of gurgling in the rear and stomach, and just plain did not want to be there mentality. After I got to escape from that treacherous enviornment (I do manual labor), I went home immediately and fell asleep fine for about 4 hours. After waking up about 3 hours ago, I have been feeling decent. However, I knew I had to eat and forgot to buy anything. But, I had tuna and bread and made a sad sandwich...which my worst enemy so far today. However, I now feel in a state of constant boredom and cannot focus on tv, movies, or anything else but reading people's stories and so on....so this is my story so far and rant...I can't type much more as I am getting anxious...

hey welcome to our forum, I am not the best one to be the first to answer you back as I have been at this for my first time since Feb. Found the forum in March and went CT had a lot of post answered and I made it 28 days, my pain level was 10 and 10 times more, I have now been on a rollercoaster ever since, just wanted to say we will get through this. Keep reading the post as you will read some really touching ones and know you are not alone in this. Keep on going,  you can do this. I just had some back injections and have made it 3 days clean again. I plan on staying on this path until I can say I have done it. Everyday someone makes it to 6 months or 1 year or 3 years can't wait until it is me.
good luck and prayers to you
