yes. I stopped the Xanax the day I ran out. I was taking them as prescribed: 1 1mg pill 2 x daily. but I'd share or trade or add Valium as I had it on top. I'm pretty sure that's what caused the seizure. it was ******* scary.
did you stop the Valium and xanax abruptly?
That could definitely have caused seizures?
How much did you use and was it regularly?
wow. thanks, guys. I'm on a small dose of prescribed Xanax, and I've been taking it to try to help with sleep only. Valium was never prescribed. I'm wondering if my seizure was related to the benzo withdrawal I was definitely starting to experience as I'd run out the day if the seizure and had to wait 3 more days to fill my script. I'm also wondering about weight loss? has anyone dropped significant weight while using opiates? I lost close to 45 lbs in 17 mos. I'm 5'4", 115 lbs now. thanks for the support. back to the dr tomo am for an EEG (brain wave test). I had an MRI of my brain yesterday. my resolve and determination are very solid and I'll do everything to stay off the pain pills. I've been a long-time member of Al-Anon (my husband has 7 years, 2 mos sober from alcohol). N/A meetings that I've attended have often been a hotspot to find out where to score. I also go to open AA meetings and I find that space to be so supportive and welcoming. I've learned so much about the disease of addiction, and I even recognized it in myself very early on. it got to the point where I didn't get high at all anymore--I was simply terrified about withdrawal. today is day 6 and I'm feeling ok. I literally watched the sun set, enjoyed the moon and stars, and then the sunrise. not a wink of sleep. that was the first night I didn't get any sleep whatsoever. I'm nervous bc I'm tied to my house now bc I can't drive until mNy tests are done to determine if I'll have more seizures. it's very rural where I live and the loneliness factor is likely gonna make me lose my $hit tomorrow. Thankfully though, I should be able to nap later today when my 3 year-old does. the tremors have lessened, and my heart rate is calmer. then again, morning has been better each day and progressively declines as the day goes on. the feedback and support are absolutely strengthening my resolve. thank you with complete sincerity.
Hey there girl, welcome!
Congrats on the day 4 being over! Day 5 is usually a turning point for many, myself included.
The shakiness, heart racing.....I would use this man, just get up and do some stuff that needs to be done....the no brain stuff. lol
You're doing amazing and you sound strong, but inner strength will
not be enough if you have pills avail. I know I couldn't do it. If you are
serious, you need to flush em. then put a bubble around yourself and territory and let it be known, there's no drugs or addicts or pushers aloud!
This is a great place for you to be, keep reading and posting...and look forward to a plethera of information and support coming your way......just as soon as everybody wakes up. :o]
*****question, are you still taking xanax/valium?? Hope you aren't c/t those.....dangerous.......seizures,...death.
I hope to follow your post and celebrate your success!

Wow, you really do have a problem and yes many of us have been there and done that. I am concerned about the seizure. You really need to be honest with your doctor. Don't worry, they have heard it all before and you may be pleasantly surprised with the help you receive from him.
Day 5 is fantastic so now it's time to treat your body with love and care. Eat healthy, take vitamins, drink lots of fluids and force yourself to exercise. It's a tough battle but you can do it if you really want it.
Start by getting rid of what you have left, deleting your dealers number and telling your doctor.
Keep posting and let us know how you are doing.
