I Can/Will Get thru This Weekend

I have a weekend filled with many hour of driving, soccer, Tolo dance, driving more, hotel, more soccer - meaning backache. I can feel it coming on already. I will remind myself of the lasting memories these weekends of tourneys will stick with my daughter & even myself. I've thought occasionally of accepting a Vicodin from other parents who offer. I will say NO thanks & stick with the Tylenol. Guess I'm looking for some encouragement not to go "there"!...GO SEAHAWKS!!

Thank you EVERYONE for your amazing responses & great ideas. I just put the heating pad in my trunk & have my "Lava Buns" to warm up & sit on on the bleachers!

Here's to a great weekend & sorry to say it again - GO SEAHAWKS! #24 will rock that field just like my daughter when she scores her goals!!

LiquiGel Advil (works better for me) and my first dose in the morning I add two Tylenols to the mix....then just the liquigels thru the day.

Tiger Balm makes some long acting fabulous pain relieving patches.

A good stadium seat or a chair with good back support is a life saver at ball games and bleachers.  The hot pad suggestion is fabulous too.

If other parents "offer" pain meds....it's your golden opportunity to let them know you are no longer taking them and will do better if you aren't offered any.

You are going to enjoy this! I know its a lot of work and driving but like you said the memories you make with your daughter will be worth it . Make them good ones!  They sure do grow up fast. In the blink of an eye! Most of the time when we anticipate things we must do, it seems like a huge mountain to climb. Then we do it and realize it wasn't so bad after all. The anxiety is basically the worst part. We do what we have to do and get through it.  I would suggest using Ibuprofen instead of Tylenol if you can because it is an anti-inflammatory as well as a pain reliever and may help your back pain better than Tylenol. Bring a heating pad to use at the hotel and most of all - have fun!!!

You will have a great weekend making memories with your daughter!  I got a heating pad at a truck stop that plugs into your lighter. That thing has been a life saver for me when traveling!  You can also buy those back patches that help a lot.

You can get thru the weekend!  You got this!
