HOW can i help my boyfriend taper off of suboxone he is struggling he is not prescribed his friend sold him some and now he cant stop taking them when he tries he gets withdrawal what should i do contact a dr i suppose any advice iam stressed and losing my patience with this

Like mentioned above he either needs to start seeing a suboxone doctor in order to get be tapered properly or he needs to enter a detox facility. Either way he needs to start working on recovery by going to NA meetings and an addiction therapist. Just about the only way for sub to be a successful alternative to getting off of other opiates is to work a recovery program. Suboxone isn't some magic pill to get you off of opiates. It's a whole program.

Detox...esp since he was NOT the one prescribed the medication.

Sub needs to be taken under a doctors supervision along with therapy.  How long has he been taking this?
