Yea caffeine in any form would wreak havoc on my mental state at 7 days.
I forgot - - diphenhydramine (benadryl) worked best for sleep for me - chase it with a cup of mint or chamomile tea - I used Celestial Seasonings "Sleepytime" tea myself - - - - Lay off any caffeine by noon or so. Melatonin (5mgs) will also help...take the melatonin at approximately the time that you intend to get up = for example, if you have the alrm set for 8:00am take the melatonin at 8pm........you may use both melatonin and diphenhydramine together with no problem.....
Great job keep it up and hang in there and it will definitely get better-for sure
Make yourself go out and go for a walk.
Feed your body properly to recover best - - I personally like the amino acid protocols listed here in MedHelps archives......tryosine is good for energy while theanine is like natures benzo. Use drinks like ensure (I use Walgreens brand) if your appetite is flagging, or just for a supplement.
7 days is usually when the worst of the physical detox ends, but you still have to tackle the no energy, sleep and mental stuff for a while longer. Many people think if they just stop and detox its over. I wish! Im glad you have support and help. Many of us don't. Take advantage of that. You are not a bad mom, you are getting better each day to be an even better mom! Keep that in mind. Each day you are healing. If you aren't using any of the thomas recipe ingredients, please try some. They do help.
Keep busy is a good thing right now.. I played games on my iPad.. Bejeweled kept my Brain going
You are doing great so dont get discouraged. The sleep and energy are usually the last thing to come back but it does. Are you taking any vitamins? Keep talking to us~
just plz hang in there...i promise it gets better! i know the no sleep thing and no energy is awful...but i'm so glad you have your family's support...that is a God send....and the sleep thing will come back, just give it time...i know everyone hates that word...lol but it's so true....you can also try otc sleep aids as well...melatonin, etc. Just try and keep active during the day as much as possible and it will help you sleep more at night. Hot baths at night with epsom salt will help with restlessness and calm you down. Good luck and just hang tough! it's so worth it to get to the other side!!
