I do take prozac for depression and it helps a little. Getting out of the house helps alot but meeting people is just hard. For one I feel like people of staring at me then 2 dont wanna go thru want I did with my supposedly best friend with anyone else. Thanks for the advice and yes coming here helps. I feel a little better today with the anxiety. My head is a little more clearer so that is good.
I really hear you and want you to know that you aren't alone with these feelings. I am just over 30 days clean and the depression and anxiety is a killer. I have two kids at home with me and i too am a stay at home mom for now and it makes it so much harder, you know when you are also responsible for childrens happiness. I would talk with your doctor to see if they can prescribe you something for depression. It might really help. My doctor recently put me on Cymbalta and hoping to feel a difference soon. I also dont get out much and feel very sad much of the time. Hang in there girl and see what other sources of support you can get for yourself. Maybe a counselor and some meetings. And when all else fails, come here. Thats what i do. We are here for each other. You can PM me anytime, i am on quite often. Good luck and God Bless, Luv, Jacky

I know that feeling all too well, especially after the initial physical detox, when your mind is going through it's withdrawal. Do you have AA or NA available in your area? I have not been to a meeting myself but do plan on attending soon. Several people on here swear by it and say it is a definite requirement for both support from those who know what you're going through as well as a great means for keeping sober.
