I messed up :( are my wds gonna start all over

Hey, I was in the process of coming off of 5 mg of methadone...I got myself down to 5mg and decided to just quit taking it...I was doing good except for getting NO sleep for 3 nights in a row...I was starting to get serverly tired. I have a 3 month old and a 3 year old and I needed sleep so I messed up and did half of a Roxy 30mg. I did it at like 8 and by 3 in the morning i was already feeling it in my legs but I did get sleep. My question is...Is my withdrawals going to start all over now...I had made it to day 4...so am I going to go through erverything Ive already went through??

hi haileysmom, i dont think as far as the physical w/ds go you will start over.  but, be careful of the mental part.  when we give into our addictions, they once again become beast.  the cravingas may be rough for a few days...but you can fight it.  get back on track.  move forward.

Everyone is different, and what you went through and what you will be going through is hard to determine.

Can you make some other arrangements in regard to your two children?  Can you get some help in taking care of them?  I ask that because methadone withdrawal can last for some time, especially the lack of sleep.  Please see the Thomas recipe for sleep aids, and I'm sure others will respond in regard to that.

The main thing is that you must get back on that road to recovery.  You slipped, you fell, but please get back up and continue your quest.

I carn't really say that you will be back to the start. I don't think it will take you back to day 1. You might feel abit worse than you have the last few day's, But i don't think you will go into full w/d again. I'm still on my meth. I'm still battleing with the heroin so i'm a long way of. I think your doing great what with 2 kiddies aswell. I have 2 boy's but there 4 & 11 not baby's. So i no that it's not been easy not sleeping you've done great to cut down like you have keep it up hun
