I think my days of getting along on norco are over

I'm so scared, im a single mom of 2 children a professional in the medical field. Today i attempted to get a prescription filled with a forged rx from my work. As I was waiting the said they needed to verify with the doctor. I got up and left. Since then my job called me...im havent called back yet.

The withdrawal is already setting in and this feeling is exactly why I did what I did.

Is my life over? When will I be arrested. I have no criminal record at all. I'm afraid I'm going to lose custody of my children.

Just wanted to check in with you before heading to bed.  I agree with Rissa....start a new post tomorrow...a new post, a new start, a new day!  Let's start with that and go from there.

Many, many hugs to you!

you need to understand- you do NOT have a refill sitting there.  you would have had one if all this had not happened, but you are flagged now and will be forever.  meaning you will not be able to get a narcotic prescription again.
any attempt to pick up that script could be horrible for you.
i am NOT trying to scare you, i am just trying to help you get your head straight.
i cannot say that i understand what you are going through because i don't as far as the forged script goes, but i do understand how you are feeling detoxing off those yellow demons.

physically your withdrawals should be easing up by now.  i have a feeling you may be dehydrated and since you are not eating you have less energy than you would have if you were getting nutrients.

i mix a packet of vanilla carnation instant breakfast into a vanilla boost. it gives me a lot of nutrients and i only have to drink that 2 times a day.  it is really good.

drink hot decaf tea to settle your tummy

exercise when you can. even if it is just taking your kids to the park.

listen to your favorite music loudly (with headphones) as you push your way through this.
you WILL get through this, i promise.  it will get better everyday.
you have to keep your thoughts straight. which can be the hardest part of all of this.  i have been stressed, VERY stressed and it is so easy to want to isolate and hide from life.  i didn't want to answer the phone or open mail or fear of more bad news.
you need a life coach right now to help you prioritize what you need to get done.  help you break those things into smaller, more manageable tasks.

do you still have medical insurance right now???
if so, find one immediately.  cognitive behavioral therapy would be helpful as well and a cbt could find you a life coach.

you need help through all of this.  we can help you some, but not as much as you need.  do you have any support???  family, kids dad, friends, etc that can help you and be there for you??

I hope your refill didn't grab you! Congrats on making it this far... I'm laying here with my 2 year old and just quite and am on day 4 and at least I know people everywhere are suffering with me! Thanks for being someone else's support and knowing you have a problem is
One thing that's been hard for me to admit to myself. I hope you said no to the refill and are telling yourself you will feel better than you have in a long time if you make it through..

You have to force yourself to eat. That will help with your energy.
Drink ensure. Are you taking walks. Again force yourself it will help you heal.
Lots of fluids.
You are doing awesome.
Get to some meetings or counseling.

You have been talking about that script for days. It's haunting you and believe me, we ALL know how that feels.  Not at least trying to pick it up will be your biggest challenge yet but be prepared, your regular doc may have been notified and the script may have been cancelled. There are very few places in the US where narcotics databases are not shared by different pharmacies and doctors to prevent fraud and doctor shopping. I wish you all the best. I love Jethr's "you know where that pony goes" comment. Read it again and think hard in every decision you make tomorrow.  God Bless.

Hey, girl. Every single symptom you mentioned is normal for detox. It will take a while. You were using for quite a while, you're not gonna feel better so fast. Patience. I know how hard it is! I also know how tempting that script is. If you pick it up, you just have to do this all over again. And you stay on horrid cycle. I guess it's down to how sick and tired are you?
