Im afraid

im 24 yrs old and just had my first withdrawl last night. For 4 months i have been taking 6 to 9 10mg tramodals everyday and yesterday ran out. well it was pure hell, restless legs which lead to NO sleep. I cried all day today because i knew what was happining...withdrawl. I started taking them in the first place for pure recreation, that was a bad idea. I no longer get a buzz it jusst sort of made me feel good and let me go about my day. I have 120 more on the way tommorrow because im just not ready to begin going through the physicalities, but with this last batch im going to use them to ween myself off. Im very afraid of whats to come. Yes i know i took the easy way out and got more but this will be the begining of the end. I will have my fiance to be my support team. Its gonna take alot of prayers to get through this. Like I said Im truly am afraid when I stop taking them because I feel i am a weak willed person so  any help, advice, and just plain moral support later down the line would be wonderful. Reading everybodies stories was nice to see cause it shows me im not the only one who thinks this is going to be VERY DIFFICULT. To whom ever is ready this my I please be in your prayers, and i will be sure to keep posting my progress.

sounds like you have a good plan started. the psycological part needs to be planned also. think about things that could be triggers for you wanting to take more drugs. something other than the withdrawl. most of us have used the pills (our DOC) for situations or certain people , things that we have to deal with every day or so. this part can be just as hard as the physical withdrawl.

maybe there is nothing , but doesn't hurt to cover all the bases and be prepared.
Best wishes to you through your tapper.

You can do this. good decision to get off this roller coaster. Another good resource is avisg here. She will be on in the am. If you can, read her journals, at least the tramadol part.

Welcome...and congrats on ur decision...120 should be enough to taper with since u have only been using for 4 months....u r lucky as it could have turned into years and into 30 pills a day..tapering is the key with trams due to seizures...do not stay alone right now since u are without....write ur taper out and stick to it..hand the pills over to ur support person...read up in the health pages on the thomas recipe and tapering...pay special attn to the aminos like 5htp and SAMe that help with depressionas this is a major side effect with tram withdrawal..and most of all...keep posting and stick to ur plan
