I'm doing great

So, I started posting in this community back in October on my 4th day of coming off of my vicodin addiction, I can happily say that it is January and I'm still free of hydrocodone! I just wanted to let everyone know that i'm doing great. I really feel that if it weren't for this community I might not have made it through.

To all of you just starting off the detox process, you can do it, you really can.

Sober date:july 5th 2011

Today marks 17 days sober off oxy contin and methadone. And I have to say after 3 years of living in a fog I'm finally breaking threw and remembering how life felt before drugs. I enjoy life so much more and all the little changes that come along with sobriety. Being able to eat and gain energy, being able to look yourself in the mirror with sober eyes, being able to feel the rush of adrenaline I must say had me questioning why pain pills ever crossed my mind. I've put all of this in the past and I have to say threw the withdrawal process you really learn your lesson. This wasn't meant to be easy considering what we put our body threw but if you got the willpower and the drive to live a happy sober life there is hope, only question is are you ready to change?
