First time posting, day 3 off pills

Hi , I am new to this sight and find it to be quite informative.  I am 3 days off of 5/500 vic.  I was abusing for the past year.  About 40mg to 50mg a day. Heavy enough.  I woke last night to horrible stomach pains, the worst of all my symptoms.  I have had trouble sleeping the past 2 nights, but not that bad.  I took hot baths and dont really feel to bad otherwise.  I do think a little clearer, but my mind is still craving the buzz.  In the past I would have run to the nearest "friend" to get more pills, but I want out.  Any suggestions on the best steps to beating this horrible disease?  I will look into aftercare, and have a great husband who is willing to help any way he can.  Wish me luck.  I hope tomorrow is even better than today.

Hi sweet pea and WELCOME to the forum.... I am 33 days clean off of a 8-10 Norco habit a day  x's 3 years (cold turkey style)  and what helped me alot was the THOMAS RECEIPE.. (it's under the Health section to the right)... I did it without the Valium or Immodium but took the vitamins and L-tyrosine faithfully plus drank ALOT of water and when I could muster up the energy, got a little exercise...walking is good... exercise of any type helps kick in your natural endorphins... ALSO, you are very blessed to have a supportive Husband.... as I KNOW that I couldn't and WOULDN'T have done it without my husband.. and keep posting as this site is a LIFE SAVER for many.. and remember that EVERYDAY THAT YOU DON'T USE IS A BETTER DAY THAN WHEN YA DO!

Day 3 is a great achievement. Day 4 will be better. The 3rd day seems to be the toughest to get thru, thats the day many of us fail on(including me). Aftercare will be the best way to get a handle on things along with all the support you can get. The cravings will be the last thing you will get rid of during this process but it will go away. Hang in there and keep thinking about tomarrow. Dont let the disease beat you!
