best way to detox

I have been taking 7- 8 percoset for a few years. I have had 3 surgeries and dental issues. I want to stop. I am a single mom of two boys , one is disabled.. and I am a waitress. so my back kills me as well. please help. I am getting more tomorrow and don't want to. I also have OCD and severe anxiety. I admit fully that I sometimes take more than I need to numb my problems. but they aren't giving me the good mood I used to have. If it''s not percs its tylenol codiene .

Thank you so much. I hate myself for depending on pills. My dad was alcoholic / drug addict and I inherited this. I honestly didn't see it coming. I thought I could handle it. feel free to talk anytime.

Well....it is all about priorities....right now your priority is to get sober..there are some great non-narcotic pain reporters that work well for legitimate pain. I have found that making a plan, getting the supplements that will lessen symptoms and shorten the withdrawal THEN cold turkey. With your habit you should be able to get over the worst part in 5-6 days. Life on the other side of thus is wonderful! Good luck!

Some people try to tapper down slowly to reduce the withdrawals.  I couldn't do it, not enough will power at the time so I just stopped Cold Turkey from a 15 Vic a day habit.  I took about 5 days to get over the physical and now at day 13 I feel much better.  I will not tell you it was fun getting through it but it was certainly worth it.  The first day was easy ans the next 4 days were pretty rough but I managed to make it through. Read as many of the post as possible and figuer out what is best for you.  Good Luck
