In rehab now

I just got into Renab a couple hours ago. Things are ok. Very interesting though. I'll be glad to get this over with and start outpatient therapy. I see the sub doctor in an hour and a half.

Yes tomorrow I have an appt for orientation for my intensive outpatient program. I'm excited. I should get a sponsor tomorrow and just got home from a meeting. All is well in my land for now anyways. I know it can change in!5 minutes

Gah! When you say skinhead tats, I think Edward Norton from American History X. If that guy was in detox with me, I would probably be hiding under the covers in my room. :) Anyway, I digress. I was just trying to make you smile.

In all seriousness, I think your immediate to-do list should include getting a sponsor...TODAY. I recall you saying a few weeks back that you have an anxiety disorder. We can definitely see it flaring up in some of your posts. A sponsor gives you someone to call in those desperate moments you're having. We like to help with your moments of panic on here too, but I don't think it's going to give you an immediate response like a sponsor would.

As for the low energy, just embrace it for now and take time to relax. Your energy level is going to be low for a while. I would wipe our unnecessary things from your to-do list, and just focus on your aftercare.

Thank you both so much. I have to start orientation for intensive outpatient this week. I went to an NA meeting this morning. I just wanna go HOME. No offense but there are a couple guys covered in "skinhead" tats. I'm just a small town girl lol I don't know much about that. Don't get me wrong I'm NO BETTER than anyone else. It's just very frightening. Anyways aftercare is all setup abd I'm on the road to recovery. I start outpatient soon and its 8-12noon three days a week.

So proud of you! Now the number one, tip top most important thing you do next is find out the address of the meeting you will go to on the same day you get out!

Repeat: be 100% going to a meeting the day you get out, and every day, one day at a time, for the next 90 days. There are meetings at all different times, so you can go to early bird meetings (often at 7:00 am before work), lunchtime meetings, commuter meetings, or early evening meetings.

Go to the meeting and ask the chairperson if the group has a temporary sponsor program.

Your medhelp family is here for you, but you MUST get this support in the real world.

And, congratulations! You officially no longer need the name TramTrap! How about Tramless or Tramfree?

Big hugs!

You are doing awesome! Getting out of there is a good thing. If they think you're doing good than you are! Be glad they didn't give you subs. It's just another thing to come off of. Are they giving you any comfort meds to leave with?
