Hi Missgirl.. Welcome to the forum.. I would be hesitant to use Seroquel as a sleep aid.. This is a very strong drug, is addicting and leaves one feeling lethargic especially if you have not used them before.. I hope you have exhausted all other alternatives such as tea's our Natural products.. I just felt I needed to say this. I Do hope sleep finds you soon and wish you the very best. lesa
Many people are not able to sleep with aid.
* meant without aid...
I'm an recovering addict whose been clean and sober since '99. as is my husband. (although he relapsed from "our" clean date and went into a 90 day Relapse Prevention Program) but whose counting. It feels like we've been sober forever. We both take Seroquel every night. No groggyness. No nothing. Otherwise we would never have been able to sleep. Too many years of having to drink to sleep. No adverse side effects of the Seroquel to date. (15 years and counting).
Doctors o Mehelp here have suggested Seroquel for sleeping for addicts. We are dependent on Seroquel to sleep. No big deal. You can take it long term with no bad effect. We could quit, and the only side effect would be that we couldn't sleep. Many people are not able to sleep with aid. Seroquel is the last thing i had to take on my journey of insomnia. Maybe it'll work for you too. You NEED sleep. Life is too hard without getting the REM that you need. We take one per night. You have to be clear, no booze with them. And you have to of your right mind always, because what the doctors may not tell you is that they are strong enough to put you into a long long sleep if you know what i mean, so be careful. If you can be super careful (like putting one in a plastic case with a section for every day to make sure you don't double dose by mistake, ) then give them a try. Did you doctor suggest them?
