Is a Fever a symptom of nicotine withdrawal?

Is a low grade fever one of the symptoms when you quit smoking?  My normal temp has always been 97.5 but for the past few days it has been 99.1 to 99.6 and I feel achy all over - - pretty normal stuff for a low grade temp.  I used to smoke about 10 cigarettes a day but quit smoking on Monday and have been chewing nicotine gum about 2-3 times a day.  I just need to know if a low grade fever is normal or should I see the doctor?

I used to smoke tobacco and cigarettes at the same time...up to 20 a day or more... I had mid fever for almost 3 weeks and all parts of the muscles ache like **** up to the toes. During the second week, you'll start to realize the muscle pain begins to disappear when u start to flex them from the head down to shoulders to chest to torso. The worst part of these pains are the joints especially knees and ankles. For 3 weeks, I felt 20 years older than before due to the cold turkey

Hi I just want to share that I just wuit smoking 3 days ago and I'm in bed rest, with a bad back ache, chills and fever. Most of my friends experienced this too. Just drink lemon juice from time to time for detox and lots of water :)

Also, take vitamin C 3,000mg a day. 1,000 mg every after meals :)

I am currently in bed, body feeling weak, head very dizzy, and im feeling a tad nauseous. I used a 21mg patch this morning for the first time and the side effects have been nothing but bad news to my body. I took about 3 naps already today and it's only 3:32 in the afternoon! During those naps my body temperature increased and I needed 3 blankets because my body wouldn't stop shivering from being cold. (mind you, it's summer time). I took the patch off after a few hours because I couldn't take it anymore. I'm a mild smoker (10 or less a day) and I haven't touched or thought about having a smoke yet. I've quit cold turkey before and I think that it's the only way for me to stop smoking. Hope this helped and good luck to you all.

I quit smoking this morning after 21 years of over a pack/day.  Been on the patch since I woke up, it's now mid-afternoon and I have a fever and I already passed out on my lunch for almost an hour.  I feel like I have the flu, I'm all bloated and I feel pukey and I have a really bad headache and I'm all weak-ish, could be a coincidental flu, but I think it's probably really really bad withdrawls.  I didn't take the first patch, I've started off this morning with the 2nd step patch so I think it's that.

I got pregnant 7 years ago and quit while I was pregnant, cold turkey though, no patches or gum or anything, and the same thing happened minus the fever.  We'll see.  I feel really bitchy.  I pitty the fool who rides my nerves this next few weeks. lol.
