When detoxing c/t with no help, the only thing I could eat at first is waffles & syrup.
When detoxing w/Thomas Recipe the only thing I could eat is waffles & syrup.
For some reason, I couldn't eat anything salty, but the sweets went down real good.
These people have a lot more advice than me.....I am with you on the w/d right now.....but can't imagine having to be at work. I agree...try and take some time off. Hang in there.
It can help but be careful, in high amounts nutmeg is VERY poisonous.
One thing that could help (it does me) is to take a double dose of an antihistamine, I've done this and gotten some relief from the skin "stuff" and dry throat/retching. To be honest, I only used this in an emergency since it tends to make the heart go pitter patter (especially if you take to much).
what about nutmeg to help with percoset withdrawals?

I've been sucking the Ensure down. The chocolate's the best for me, very cold. It's easier to get down when you can't eat.

You MUST drink lots of fluids and eat alittle or you will get sicker. I know its hard, I had the same problem, and I ended up very sick the first withdrawel and the 2nd withdrawels lasted longer because I was making myself sick. Force the fluids and eat.
Try Boost with protein.
Bananas are easy to digest. Some have good luck with Ensure.
you hit the nail on the head. I haven't eaten, I mean literally haven't eaten a morsel of food for 3 days. I try drinking and it comes out. I will try the immodium. What about nutmeg?
Come here when you're feeling really bad, weak, or just needing to talk. Nothing over the counter helped me (except for Immodium), but these people did . Hang in there.

It's good seeing you post again.
Most of us have the Thomas Recipe in our Profiles/Journals. That should help. Also, get banana's, a heating pad, take lots of warm baths, chocolate...these will all help. It may not seem it, but it will.
Good luck and keep us posted...

how far into the wd's are you? immodium for the runs, hylands restless legs if you have that, and melatonin to help with the sleep problem. hot baths, stress vitamins, lots of fluids, water and juice. get as much good nutrition as you can keep down. take a week of vacation time if you possibly can, or use your sick leave. tell them you have the flu, the symptoms match!!
Withdrawals are no fun. Look in my journals for the Thomas Recipe. It has helped many people to get through this. Ibuprofen helps with aches. Melatonin up to 10mg at night for sleep. good luck.
